UGH, it was. I hate Germany. And Gotze's little baby face is so damn punchable. But FUCK that was a nice touch.

Really not happy how the keeper played that goal. In a situation like that you have to attack the ball directly and he did everything but.

He took maybe a step forward. All it did was put him in a much worse position to stop the goal.

Every bit as beautiful as the Portuguese equalizer against the US. The beautiful game indeed.

He took a step or half step to the right instead of forward. If he had gone forward he would have stopped it. There's a reason he's going the wrong way when the goal is scored.
Not that it matters but I've spent more than my share of time in net. I've also done so on a co-ed indoor team... filled with people who have never played before. I saw more shots on goal than I care to remember. So I say what I say with at least some level of experience at the position.

Love the fact that Klose told the kid to go do it, and he did.

This was Germany's cup in more than one way. Nevermind the 7-1 against Brazil, the country absolutely fell in love with the german team, to the point where people are now using hashtags such as "Podolski for president" and "Germany, don't leave"

The German team was like a well oiled machine. It was amazing.
